Hi,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post as I am a bit confused about the current entry restrictions.
Currently I am an international student in Canada studying at university. As of now I am still in Canada and doing online courses but I plan to return home for the next semester as it is still going to be online.
I have secured an internship for the summer of 2021 which requires me to work remotely within Canada and after the summer internship (coop work term) I plan to continue stay in Canada for the rest of my study regardless of whether it is in-person or online courses. (depending on the covid for sure).

I am a bit worried about if I would be able to successfully return to Canada. Currently my study & coop work permit expires August 2021 and I will have it extended. I am not sure if I will get the extended documents in hand before I leave Canada but my current permits should be able to work since I am planning to return to Canada at the end of April 2021.

Checking the IRCC website, it had a section for foreign workers which permits them to come to Canada. I am not sure for the internship work term does this policy also apply to me?
Also I was checking the policy for international students coming to Canada, the new policy have a set of approved universities which will allow student to return. I am expecting my school to be on the list soon but since school starts on September if I am coming back on May would it be possible to use study as the reason to come back?

I am really confused and want to make sure I don't make any mistakes before leaving Canada.

Thank you everyone in advance for the help!

Maybe you need to give a call to CBSA agent and ask him about it. As far as I know, it is free to call within Canada
