Hello Guys,

So I currently work in the USA. I need a reference letter from my employer for my current job at this current company. I asked HR for it, with all the required details, and they want to know why I need such a letter.
Now the thing is, I haven't been at this company for all that long and really don't want them to know that I need it for Canada immigration.
Do you have any suggestions of what I can state instead? Now that HR has asked the reason, I need to say something but have no idea what else I can say. Loan? (no idea how US loan works), loan for family in India? Something that internationals in USA need? So clueless!
Would greatly appreciate your help!
Thanks,
SS

Well the question would be, are you actually claiming points and/or is this work experience helping your eligibility (if FSW applicant)? If so then I do not know if anyone in this forum will suggest any means to deceive your employer. If not then remove such work experience from the work history section and only add it in the personal history section, no proof of employment will be required.

Yes I'm claiming points for this experience and definitely need it.
Ok so you suggest I just tell them the truth about immigration plans? I'm just a bit worried about how that will go over..

Hi All,
My spouse is a dependent applicant and currently working in USA. However, we are finding it really difficult to gather his reference letter from previous as well as current employer. And I am not finding any field in personal info to add about his experience. Could anyone please suggest or tell us the exact field name under personal detail section

Yes, I'm also facing same issue. Someone in above thread mentioned to delete entries from spouse work experience and add it to personal details section but currently this section does not provide any field to write down free text..Any help from old member appreciated
