Hey All,

My Fiancee and i are looking into the procedures for the Spousal Sponsorship Visa. We are considering the options for Translation/Certification of her Documents into English, either here in Canada, or in Cuba. We have heard on the grapevine that apparently now when the application goes to Habana [after the sponsor has been assessed in Canada] the Canadian Embassy is now ONLY accepting Translated/Certified Documents with the MINREX [Dept. of Ministry of the Interior] Stamps, and that the only recognised Translation service [ESTI] will not Translate/Certify any Documents, without these stamps as well. These stamps can very expensive: $100 CUC per Document.

Any and all info on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

im also about to send in my application , I never heard of this .... anymore info would be greatly appreciated .

The stamp is not required by Canadian immigration.
