CSQ with error

hey guys!

We received long waited CSQs for me and my husband but found 2 typos in his last name.

We sent back this CSQ for correction as instructed by MIDI.

MIDI received 2 packages from us, 1st one received on 13th of October, the 2nd one on 22nd of December. We have proves.

it's been 3.5 half months from today of wait for a simple correction, but call center people say they neither received our envelopes and thus never opened it.

I don't know what's going on there, I am getting nervous. I sent 2 complaints to quality service, they replied to send proves of delivery, I sent them what they ask immediately, and after that no answer. A week has passed. Call center people tell me to wait for another 3 months! It will be 6.5 months of wasting time . The most disappointing thing is that they made this mistake, not me...

I am thinking what if we send our docs to the Federal stage without my husband's CSQ (his is NOT a principle applicant) + we attach explanation letter that MIDI has lost our envelopes... and attach these 2 proves of delivery? Will Feds return our docs, will they ask to send the CSQ when Quebec finally issues it, will they postpone issuing a Federal number?

What will happen? Did anyone face this problem?

Wait for the corrected CSQ before going to Federal stage. It would be the safer thing to do. Just coordinate your case with MIDI. You are half-way there.

There was a mistake in our CSQ, so i sent it back to midi, and still waiting it will take 8 week they said. Allah know when they sent it back to me.
4 week gone.. Lets wait and please keep ion touch..

One of my friend received his and his wife's CSQ last week, and on her wife's paper, they write her " Autre Nom ou Prenom" as husband's family name plus the wife's first name, but she never use any other name, it seems the officer image that the wemon would use the husband's family name after marriage. At the end, my friend send back the CSQ with the explain letter, the officer promise to issue a new and correct CSQ in Maximum two weeks. So if you found any mistake in your CSQ, do not wait, contact them and request to change, otherwise you may have trouble in your federal stage.

Hello, did you left any copy of your husband's original CSQ before you send them back?

I am facing with the problem of spelling error in my children and wife CSQ. My CSQ is correct. What is your condition at this time. Have you applied for federal without CSQ or get the corrected CSQ.Please reply me. Thank You

As I received emails asking me to continue with our story, and I decided to write how it all ended.

Quality Control department was pretty quick in responding. It took around 10 days for them to finally "find" (if they bothered to do it...) my pack.

They corrected the CSQ and I received it in around 4 weeks. It was correct, thankfully.

I heard some people still received their CSQs with the same or even other errors. Consequently, they gave up trying to wait for a corrected one. These people send their CSQs to the Federal stage as it is with errors. But I don't know how Feds would react. If they write your details based on CSQ only or if they look through the docs....in the end, these people received correctly their names in Visas, but you never know what will be written there. To be on the safe side, I think it's always better not hope for a lucky shot and correct your docs if you really notice a mistake.



Advice to everyone:
1) Save copies of what you send!!! This is super important.
2) Use proven courier. I used a cheap EMS post service. My envelope went through Canada post and lost I don't know where... Use Fedex or DHL.
3) Call them often however phone operators are useless in solving your problems, but at least this is why they still work. ;D
4) Complain to Quality Service if you don't get your docs processed in at least 1.5 months.
5) If you know french well, write them in french. I dnk why, but I think they still don't like when people speak English in Quebec.
