Thanks for the timely and insightful response once again. Really appreciate. If you don’t mind letting me know, have you also received the pre-arrival letter? I received mine back in July 2024 but no movement since.

Yes, I was Approved In Principle on April 11, 2024 and received the Pre-Arrival Letter on April 12, 2024. My Approved In Principle letter and my husband's Sponsor Approval Letter from IRCC arrived a couple days later on April 15, 2024. So we've had Eligibility completed for about a year now. IRCC asked for my medical exam afterwards, but I haven't heard anything else since Medical was approved in June 2024 aside from a ghost update in October 2024. Silence since then. Hope that helps!!

Hi everyone, Today, I noticed a ghost update on my Open Work Permit (OWP) application (SCLPC FC OWP) in my IRCC secure account. What does this mean? For context: I received my Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) for my Family Class Spouse Sponsorship PR application on April 17, 2025. Following this, I submitted my OWP application on April 18, 2025.

Hi everyone,
I don't usually post, but I wanted to share some information for fellow Quebec spousal sponsorship applicants who might be feeling anxious.


I'm an October 2023 applicant for Quebec Outland spousal sponsorship. My IRCC tracker (I also requested my GCMS notes) shows all four stages are marked as completed (Eligibility, Background, Medical, Biometrics) since July 2024, but no updates since then.


I wanted to point out that there are several trackers out there, but the most accurate and reliable one is this official one:

Based on my experience and some other cases, I estimate that I might get my COPR around October 2025, but it's only an assumption. Let's stay strong and keep hoping together.

Je poste rarement, mais je voulais partager quelques informations pour rassurer les personnes qui attendent comme moi leur parrainage conjugal pour le Québec (catégorie à l'extérieur du Canada).


Je suis demandeur d’octobre 2023, et d’après le tracker IRCC (ainsi que les notes GCMS que j’ai demandées), toutes les quatre étapes sont vertes (admissibilité, vérification des antécédents, biométrie, visite médicale) depuis juillet 2024, mais aucune mise à jour depuis.


Je voulais également préciser que parmi les différents trackers, le plus fiable reste le tracker officiel ici :

Selon mon expérience et d'autres cas similaires, j’estime que je pourrais recevoir mon COPR vers octobre 2025, mais ce n'est qu'une estimation. Restons positifs et continuons à espérer ensemble.
