Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
It took 55 days of waiting, from May 11 to today, July 6, but I finally got my CSQ!

Does anyone knows how long it will take now until I will receive my AIP and or DM?

My timeline:

INLAND Application received:7 October 2009
Started processing: 26 Nov 2009
CIC letter received: 7 May 2010
Application sent to obtain CSQ: 11 May 2010
CSQ arrived: 7 July 2010

Hi Jordana,

Nice to hear you got your CSQ, I think 55 days is probably the fastest anyone can get. My question is this:

When I check CSQ processing time from Montreal, it says processing file Nov 2009. Now this means that they are right now processing files which were submitted on Nov 2009. I have been following CSQ website for couple of months now. It has been Nov 2009 since April 2010.

Does that mean it takes about 4 months to process all CSQ files of a month. I submitted in Jan 2010. That means I have to wait 8 more months ?? (4 mth = Dec, 4= Jan).

Thanks

do you have a link to the website you are looking at? because I think maybe you are confusing CSQ with CIC? A CSQ (Certificate Selection de Quebec) is supposed to take no more than 20 business days (aka a month real time) though recently in both Jordana's case and my own it has been a little bit longer. I am confused about the whole montreal office thing though, which could mean there is another website for inland applications that I have never heard of.

I believe you are talking about CIC's (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) first stage processing for inside Canada applications. As I filed outside Canada, I don't have any personal experience with this, but you'll just have to wait until January 2010 comes around in the processing. Perhaps someone who filed inside could provide better insight on how long it took once their date came around.

Apologies if I'm talking out of my @ss!

I agree with plumosa.

I think you are confusing the term CSQ "certificat de seletction du québec) with CIC or with the sponsorship application times in general.

I think I've figured out at least some of the confusion! Eng-Mtl is a provincial nominee so they are posting in the wrong area since this is family based sponsorship only.

hii all
i 'm not recive my CSQ till now i sent it since 20/5/2010
i called them yesterday and they tolled me that it will take around 6-8 weeks ( not 20 day )
i need to know if is right ???? coz am really confused :(

They told you right. When I asked them, the agent explained me that they have many people on vacation, so that's why on summer it takes 6-8 weeks.

For some other reasons that I don't understand it seems that they have a lot more applications this time that they usually do.

Hi Plumosa and Jordana !

Check out the following link, I am applying as Skilled Worker Class from Montreal, QC and am here as an International student for the past 16 months.

immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/immigration-application/processing-times-table.html

I hope this clarify some of the confusion.

Hey! I sent my application for my CSQ around June 9th. We checked the visa bill and they took our 250$ on the 5th July. Im hoping this means a decision has been made but now Im thinking perhaps they just take it whenever... I hope to hear soon! It has been 5 weeks for me so far

It is week 10 since I sent my application and still no CSQ :(

THen you should call the MOntreal office to check what's going on. It's too much time for a CSQ

the number for MICC is 514-864-9191, give them a call and see what's up with your CSQ!

I will try calling them tomorrow morning, see what the hold up is... Thank you
