Hello to all,

I am just wondering do you HAVE to live or HAVE LIVED in Quebec to apply for CSQ and do you NEED a job offer form a Quebec employer? I am a graduate in engineering from an Ontario university and I am perfectly bilingual(French &English). I did the point assessment and I passed...Please kindly advise!

Hi,
under which immigration category you want to apply for Quebec?

If you are applying for Quebec Skilled Worker Category (QSW), then you dont need to have LIVED or presently LIVING in quebec for applying purpose.

However, as per the new rules announced on March 31st, 2012, they have put more emphasize on the individuals who are connected with quebec/canada by any ways such as stay, family, education, work etc.

Pls check below link for more information:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/applications-receipt.html

Also you will be getting additional points if you are connected with quebec/canada by any ways such as stay, family, education, work, job offer etc.

Pls check below link for info related to this:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/requirements-programs/index.html

hope this clarifies your doubts :)
