Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone

I'm a student in Montreal and recently applied for my CSQ. Does any one have an idea of how long the current processing time is, i.e. how long before they acknowledge your file is under processing?

Thanks in advance!

Here is my timeline.

CSQ Application received at Montreal - 18th Aug 2009
File no received - 11th Sep 2009
Additional document requested - 22 Jan 2010
Additional document received at Montreal - 15 Feb 2010

Now an agonizing wait. I have applied from USA. Hope this helps.

Robin,

I think in a month or so you will either receive an interview waiver with the CSQ or a call for the interview. BTW, if your profession is one among the many "sought after professions" and have included the proof of atleast basic french language skills, you should get an interview waiver.

Good luck!

Hi everyone,

I have applied in the month of October 2009. I got CSQ in December 2009 without having to do interview.
It took me some times to collect other documents required.
On the 5th of march 2010, applied for permanent resident through Bvc London.
Can anyone tell me how long it will take to have medical request.
Thanks

Hi Narmeen, it is really good to know that you have managed to get the CSQ even without an interview. Would appreciate if you could share, where did you apply from? what is your educational background? area of training? level of French? and most importantly what could the strongest reason in your case, made them to waive off interview requirement? Thanks...

Questions to everyone here-

For quebec skilled worker category ..how much french is good enough initially to get through the interview and everything.

I did the online evaluation for quebec and only thing i am not sure about is french language at this time. I have started learning it though.

Your help is appreciated

Hi Ok1,

I will try to answer your question.
I have applied from Mauritius.
My level of French is good as i did french at the higher school certificate with good passing marks.
I am a police officer. Maybe that's another reason for the CSQ.
I hope that will be helpful.

Hi ad,
since you are learning French that's a very good intiative.
Many people are qualifed without french but i will advice you to keep learning your french and start your application.
Maximum time 6 months minimum i can say 2 months for CSQ.
All the best.

And to all members applying for CSQ
Documents to be submitted at later stage
Police Clearance Certificates which take times to have if you have been residing in different countries for more that 6 months
So start applying for same

Reference letter from work- your day to day duties in details

keep your recent pay slips

your work experience letter
Hope this might help a little bit

I had not submitted my wife's CSQ application form and educational certificates ( my mistake :'(, I was slightly confused regarding that. Since each application is signed by both the principal applicant and spouse , I thought it was not necessary to send a separate application for her.) Please go through the checklist in the application and make sure you are sending everything that is required.
