CSQ processing times from 2012

Hi all

It's extremely difficult searching the forum as I was looking to see if there are any posts which give indication on the processing times.

If others who applied for a CSQ in 2012 then please provide further details on when/if you've received any correspondant so we can estimate on the processing time frame is.

  • I applied for a CSQ in June 2012.
    Received the file number in Oct 2012.
    Received an email requesting further documents in July 2013.
    I sent those back in Oct 2013.
    These further documents I sent were added to the online file in Dec 2013 (I phoned last week and they said it shows as documents were added to the file in Dec 2013)

I would request that only use this threat to record time lines for applications which were filed in 2012. Hopefully this will give indication on what is happenning to these cases and may help us to understand when to expect some correspondents.

Hope to hear from more people.
 
Just rang BIQ few seconds back,I already received my file number in June 2013.I am on priority list too,but the speaker told me that my file is still waiting to be processed.So guys have patience ,we still have a long way to go.But last time I called they said its being processed.She said no missions for Interview as of now,she asked me to check the website ....god knows what are they doing with our files....

I am working in Montreal for a year now and I ll also be applying for CSQ, so can you tell how can an applicant be in the priority list? and does CSQ application provide some sort of bridge while it is in process as my work permit will be expired during the processing time....
 
I would suggest you follow the instructions on their website, they are quite detailed and informative. You can also contact their helpline, which I must admit isn't great and different agents on there would actually provide different info. But it's still worth getting their opinion.

On the forums you can't get any specific details regarding your own case. It's just peoples opinions, it's good to draw from other peoples experiences but not seek specific details, which other people can't provide.

Also, this threat I started to see if others can add timelines of their applications which were submitted in 2012, so rest of us can have some idea on the time frame. If you want details of something different then you're better to start a new threat.

Seems our timelines are almost the same but I am from west Africa
Fully applied for csq in may 2012
aor in sept 2012, I was asked to wait for an interview date.
I ve not heard from them since then

Sorry for the late response just saw ur comment.Priority is based on the points you get for Area of Training ,I think for you the processing time would be quiet quick as u are already in Montreal.For more details please check the Quebec website.
 
Hi, I'm also an applicant from 2012.

Sent my file in August 2012
Received AOR in December, 2012 then
Received "attente de decision" letter in January 2013.

Haven't received any news in almost a month.

The numbers I usually call them on are:

0015148735760 - Mon - Fri 8:30 - 12:00 Quebec time

If you have your case reference then good but if not they can search using your details. Unfortunately, they don't give any real feedback, just say have patience and wait to be contcated.

Hi,

On the "attente de decision" letter I didn't get any specifics, pretty much it was a keep waiting letter. However, on January 31 I finally got the email stating that my CSQ has been granted and that I should get a courier to go get it.

You have the CSQ.

Sounds yours was processed quicker than mine. Pray for rest of us.

When you have the CSQ, you can apply for the visa. I think fed go'ment process for issuing visa's has speeded up. I last heard visa can be issued within 6 months.

What is your level off French ?
