CSQ in Error?

Hey guys, just finishing my application for CSQ.
Just one question:
On the form, question 3
Identify information on family members of the principal sponsored person.
I filled with my wife's information, ok.
Then "is this person accompanying you to Quebec?

Ok, she's already living in Quebec.
Should I put yes or no?

Hello, sorry for not replying sooner. I am going to answer your question to the best of my knowledge, and I also going to emphasis certain things for the sake of others who may end up confused by this form.

READ THE GUIDE AND ALL THE INSTRUCtIONS ON THE FORMS.



I had the same confusion as you when I first looked at that form [A-0520-BA]. "What??? How do I answer that???"

Then, I read the side notes for the set of questions that came right before it. Here are the notes that are on the LEFT side of the form questions:

2. See definition in the Guide for Sponsored Persons!

2.1. If you are the spouse of your sponsor, answer questions 2.1 and 2.2, then go to 3.2

2.3. If you are the de-facto spouse [aka "common-law partner" in QC] of your sponsor, answer questions 2.3 and 2.4, then go to 3.2.

2.5. If you and your sponsor are conjugal partners, answer question 2.5, then go to 3.2.

Then, according to that, a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner does *not* answer question 3.1...!

Also, be sure to read the guide about definitions of family members!

By the way, I just received my CSQ. My application was mailed from Montreal on March 23rd. And I received my CSQ on May 4th or 5th. To be honest, I was expecting it a week or two sooner, so I was getting a little worried and starting to play the "what if..." torture in my head. But then it came, and what a relief!!! I'm guessing people went on spring break (Easter/Holy Week) holidays for a week and that pushed everything behind a little bit.

But seriously, read the guides and all the notes.

I just finished those forms and sent to my wife
We are waiting for SA now and then we can send these forms.
I just have to wait for the attached letter inviting to CSQ, so I can check the #11 on checklist!

Bumping the thread, sorry:

I just asked to a friend of mine who applied (and already received the CSQ) and she told me that she received the CSQ only for e-mail.
I didn't know that possibilitie exists.
Anyone with similar experience?

Guys, did you get any update recently?


I sent my app in Oct 2014 from Montreal as a common-law partner. In Feb 2015 got a letter from CIC to get my CSQ. Two weeks later I received another email that the email was sent by error. But I already applied for CSQ and got it one week after (CIC also receive it). A week ago I received an email and asked for Medical while I haven't yet received any AIP or SA. Here are my questions:

1. Should I update CIC from my ongoing relationship and sending them more proof at the same time ? (During this time we changed our apartment, we bought a car, we have our insurances under each others' names, which are all new)
2. I changed my status in Canada and now I am under PGWP since Sep 2015. Should I notify them (or they can easily see it in my file)?
3. Getting a Medical request is a good sign or means nothing? I mean theoretically we should get medical request after SA, am I right?
4. Now that I did my medical, should I expect any news soon or not?
