Dear all,
my husband is being sponsored by me outland and we already have received CSQ.According to immigration agent he could start studying french language, but unfortunately in the school PAULIN-JULIEN in MONTREAL he was refused just because his papers are being processed in Egypt.
If anyone has previous experience with Montreal studying centres, plese let me know.
Every piece of info will be helpful.
Thank you in advance.

You should be able to google "francisation" and "Montréal" and find some centers that offer Francisation courses. I also applied outland but am currently in Québec. Once I had the CSQ (but before I had PR), I was able to take classes at a center that offers francisation classes, even though I was not eligible for the MICC courses. (The MICC requires that outlanders in Canada wait until having PR to take French courses.) I would suggest you call around and try to find a school that will let him attend at the reduced rate with only the CSQ. The reduced rate is very inexpensive; at my school, it was only $40 for enrollment fees, plus $25 in materials fees.

Here is a list of some centers of the Commission scolaire of Montreal that offer francisation classes:

Some conversation in this thread explains more about finding French classes in Canada, starting towards the bottom of this page:

Good luck!

How does it work while you are doing inland?
Because I'd love to take some French classes to help with grammar and conversing with more fluidity.

I think inlanders can take French classes after AIP (but I am not sure of any specifics, since I am not an inlander.) The second thread mentioned above (for people in Quebec who applied inland) has more information and would be a good place to connect to others in Quebec who applied inland.

If you want to call the MICC to ask them what your options are, the number is here:

I don't live in Montreal, so he wouldn't be able to take classes at my school anyways..

Did you try contacting the Commission scolaire of Montreal to see if he could take francisation classes at one of their schools?

And I also got multiple answers about whether or not I could take classes, since I applied outland, from various people when I called the MICC. The last call I made said no, I couldn't. So then I stopped trying to take classes with the MICC and went through a non-MICC francisation program that did allow me to take classes. Thank you QCSunshine for ur response,
i am glad that this forum exists ,so at least we can share info with each other ,since agents that supposed to be helpful give us different answers ,which i think unacceptable, that is the only info we rely on...

Hi all,

I'm applying Inland in Quebec.
From which point should I be able to access some French course?
Is it written formally in any place?

thank you!
