CSE - Extension of Time

Hi all,

I need to ask CIC for an extension of time to submit my wife's Japanese PCC, because it takes 2 months to be ready and they only gave me a 2 months deadline.
I have her application form, which is writen in English and Japanese, and an email stating the 2 months deadline sent by the consulate, which can be writen in Japanese or Portuguese.

Questions:
1. Can I translate the email myself and submit it, along with the application form, or do I need to get a certified translation for that?
2. Should the "Type of application" be "Express Entry" or other option?

Hello,

CIC will not allow you an extension of time. What they may consider is: proof that you have requested the Japanese PCC. You may wait until close to the end of your ITA deadline and if you have not received the PCC, you upload the proof you requested it and you may also include in LOE the reason you have not included the PCC. They will request it at a later date and you will be able to upload it or send via CSE (the specifics of how it is sent will be communicated to you by CIC at that point).

I've already sent the application and they've already asked for the PCC, but they gave me a 2 months deadline, which is impossible for me, since Japanese consulate also gave me a 2 months deadline and I couldn't request the PCC on the same day CIC requested it (the consulate is in a different city).

I am also in the same situation where CIC has asked for US PCC (FBI Check). They have given me 2 months, but FBI PCC will take longer. I am planning to send email to FBI close to deadline and attach it through document upload (along with LOE) if extension is required.
