I am currently doing research in India. I am applying under Electronic Engg since it is my Bachelors/Masters degree but my current work is more in basic sciences (for 3.5 yrs). So some people have been telling me since my current work is based on sciences and my degree is in engineering, my work experience won't be counted. Can anyone kindly let me know on this?

I have cleared my IELTS with overall 7.5 and ECA done and all docs almost ready and will be filing my applications by next week. My CRS score should come around 420. What are my chances for ITA?

Well i am not completely sure about this, but it was mentioned somewhere that the work experience you are claiming should be relevant to your education, 420 is ok score, but chances of getting an ITA in near future is tough as the lowest cut-off so far has been 450, you might try to better your IELTS if you want to, or try to visit each province website to see if you are eligible for PNP,hope this helps

Thanks Shanksw007. Yes let me see how i can increase my scores. Getting a job offer would significantly help, but i guess its next to impossible to get a job from here in India
