CRS score at 457

Hi Everyone,

Im new here...My husband and I are at a score of 457. Do you think its possible for us to get an invite by the end of August or do you suggest that i take the IELTS exam again to reach 461 points.

So my hubby has a CLB 10 but i am stuck at a CLB 8, hopefully if i can get a CLB 9, it will give us those extra 4 points. But then again there is the factor of spending 12 k to do the exam.

So can someone please suggest if we should wait until the score drops to 457 or 456 or just write the exam?

Any suggestions would be helpful

No his birthday is in December. He will close 33...im just worried if the points may rise again to 460 in Sep

Stay patient till end of Aug or 1st draw of september you'll get the ITA for sure irrespective of any number of pnp issued going forward.

I am curious to know at 33 how did you need up at 457? Master's ECA?

Probably. I had 464 points at 34. Master's ECA for both my wife and I, CLB 10 for both of us, six+ years of work experience.

He was able to get a CLB 10, 8 years work experience and his bachelors got approved but not the MBA

So with bachelor's alone noways you can be at 457 no matters whatever is the age or IELTS score. Please recheck

Probably. I had 464 points at 34. Master's ECA for both my wife and I, CLB 10 for both of us, six+ years of work experience.

Probably 33 not 34. Please use the CRS tool and re check. At 34 I think the max is 456 or 458

yes we were able to get it...and if i can get a CLB 9 then we can increase to 461. so Bachelors was approved as a Canadian Bachelor and MBA was approved as 1 year Diploma.

Please check the CRS tool again. With 2 certificates ( bachelor's and diploma) with your hubby at CLB 10 and you can CLB 8 with age was 33 the max score will 458. With you getting CLB 9 .. there will be 2 additional points. Unless you also have 2 certificates too then 461

Ok so if both husband and wife have 2 certificates then yes you will reach 461.. However if you stay patient till 1st draw of september then 457 should be ok to get the ITA.

Yes, you're right. I was 33 when I entered the pool. I got my ITA before I turned 34, and submitted at 34. If I had been 34, it would have been 459 with my profile.


If I (or my wife) had a PhD I would have more points. Likewise for Canadian work ex for the two of us, and French proficiency, or jobs in Canada etc.

FST draw is on one side and there are good enough of ITA target pending for the year.

So 99.5% you really don't need to worry.. the wait period might be one or two months here and there give or take, but 457 is a decent score and you'll get the ITA.

If your in a hurry and don't mind reattempting the computer IELTS go for it, CLB 7 to CLB9 will give you a boost of 4 CRS points (spouse) and CLB 8 to CLB 9 will give you a boost of 2 CRS points ( spouse).
