CRS Score and Express Entry Profile

Hello All,

I am seeking your expert advice.

I am a 28-year-old Information Security Professional with 2.9 years of work experience. Initially, I have decided to proceed as primary applicant, however, due to IELTS -less then CLB 9 (L-8, R-7, W-7, S- 6.5) I am in a dilemma. I would appreciate your kind advice on following :

Option 1. I am going for IELTS result reassessment for speaking module which will take further 8-10 weeks. I believe I cannot create a profile using this same IELTS score. Am I right or I can? Should I just wait till I get final marks?

Option 2. Should I proceed with my husband as primary applicant, our CRS will be 425. I will be using my old IELTS marks (L-7, R-8.5, W-6, S- 7.5)? But there may be a problem as he has a mismatch in his educational background and his profession. he has done his bachelor degree in "Civil Egg" and he is working as a Software Engineer for last 8 years. Do you feel it will cause our application to be rejected?

Option 3. Should I make EE profile with old marks (CRS - 388) as a Primary applicant just to save time, may be CRS cutoff may go low and we may get ITA while my current IELTS is reassessed, if not I can update info once reassessment result out, I will be still in pool for longer time.

Please help I am very confused.

Education and the nature of work doesn't matter I believe in Canada PR system. 8 years of work is good enough if proven with necessary documents.

go with option 2. there is no requirement that degree should match work exp. its a myth.

i dont think you can change primary applicant. you can however have two profiles under two emails one with each of you as primary applicant. once you get your ielts you can update your profile and withdraw the other one.

Incorrect. For PNP programs, the education and JOB should be similar.

Correct, That is why i specifically mentioned for PNP

some PNP might require it, doesnt mean its required for general express entry non pnp stream or other pnp streams.
