If you have a CRS score of 480 or above and are awaiting ITA, please come aboard here/sign up on this thread so we can see how many of us are there in the pool for upcoming draws.

Myself - CRS 481. Been in pool since 14th July 2016. Awaiting ITA.

Bumped to 487 now from 465 (since April 2016) after getting 7.5 in IELTS

How do you feel about all the speculation on this forum that there are about 3,000 people sitting at 480-481? It makes me a bit nervous, with the scores not going down below 482 for a long time. Is anyone considering taking TEF to bump up your score? I started taking French classes to gain additional points.

i think its pure speculation, until we see actual numbers, im not convinced.
where are you from ?? and what institute are you taking french in... even i'm thinking about taking up french seriously, i applied for OINP but it may fall out, you never know... besides it might be useful if and when i land there...

I live in Kazakhstan, and am taking French at Alliance Francais, I believe they have offices pretty much in every major city in the world. I took French in high school, but have not used it at all, so I lost my language skills.

That's cool. What's your CRS score breakup? As in what is your age, educational background, work experience etc? I just want to see what I am lacking in terms of points and where between my score of 481 and your score of 487.

bro me from pakistan and has all the details exactly you except ielts 16 years master degree and 3 years experience
so asking you to explain a bit how you got that score in ielts as in my case i can only reach to 481 if my ielts score bcomes like you.else even if i go for 7 in all my score will be down to 417 and i think its useless to apply then and spending money

To reassure myself, I looked at all previous draws since January 2015. I think there cannot be too many of us in the 480-482 score range (if you look at previous draw with scores below 480, you can easily see that few people get such high CRS score of 480-482 because even people with 450 have been issued ITA in the past when ITA numbers were higher).

If they raise the number of ITAs to 1,800, we have a good chance InshAllah, which I think they will do at some point - they earlier said they would raise the number of ITAs in Fall 2016 and so far they have been true to their word.

And another thing, they cannot reach their immigration targets if they continue to give only 700-1300 ITAs in every draw. They will InshAllah raise their number of ITAs soon, scores are bound to fall InshAllah.

Keep your hopes up guys and gals!

My very conservative and cautious worst scenario guess:

For October 5th draw, I guess cutoff would be CRS 481-483 with 1,300-1,500 ITAs.
For October 19th draw, I guess cutoff would be CRS 480-481 with ~1,500 ITAs.
For November 2nd draw, I guess cutoff would be CRS 478-480 with ~1,600-1,650 ITAs (there has never been a draw with more than this number of ITAs before).

After that, things can return to normal (read: pre-May 2016 scenario). A total of 4,500 ITAs may be issued in these 3 coming draws according to this speculation, thus clearing out the build-up of candidates with a score of 481 and above. InshAllah.

Btw, any idea when the mid-year report is going to be released by CIC?

You'll have a screen with parameters to update. Look for signature there.
