Glad to hear that you guys are filled with hope. My work permit expires in Dec and I am beyond devastated draw after draw. Furthermore, CIC needs to send up to 1500 invitations for us to be selected in the upcoming months. Do you guys think that is feasible?

Hi, since your permit is expiring in Dec, what if by then you do not get ITA, what are your plans?
I am in same situation, pgwp expiring in Jan, not sure what to do if no ITA until last day of visa.

I am at 451 points with no scope of improving my points. Hoping to get an ITA by year end.

That's a real hopefull speculation but it would take at least 2000 ITA's to have CRS drop constantly by 5 points with each draw and that too ignoring pnp situation. I am at 460 and I to hope what you are saying is right, but I do advise to make maximum effort to increase point rather then hoping and waiting for best. Cheers.

Hm. This is a maxed out CRS for us unfortunately. Learning French would take too long, but we have until 1.10.2017. with this score, I think we ll get there in that period. At least through OINP.. I agree, 5point drop is maybe hard to expect in every draw but even if it comes to a delay, I think it should drop at least to 460 in the last draw of 2016.

If you look at end of 2015 and start of 2016 those draws were probably the lowest CRS. All those draws were around 460 range so if that trends continues for this year as well there is a chance that next couple of draws in Nov or Dec will be around 460 or below. However for people with PGWP or Visa getting expire in end of Dec or Jan doesn't really provides enough time to apply for BOWP unless you have everything ready.

I would advise to keep PCC up to date and have other documents (ECA, Job letter,..)ready so you can upload everything with couple of days getting ITA, pay the fees and get AOR to apply for BOWP. Clock is ticking for many others like me so stay on your toes and be hopeful about getting ITA.

I'm at 457 and all I'm hoping for is a miracle next week Wednesday or atleast before the end of the year.

458 since september. Wish you all the best guys.
Waiting.....

Soon to be 457 with spouse.. I think we got a real chance getting ITA. If the trend continues, there are 5 more draws till the end of 2016. (at least).. Lets say this scenario happens: 2 November draw- CRS 470, 16 November draw - CRS 465, 30 November - CRS 460, 14 December - CRS 455.. and 28 December - CRS 450!

I will not speculate on the number of ITA, impossible to predict for me..

There is a real possibility for this.

I am very hopeful of the crs scores dropping to the 450s but I would give it a couple of extra months. I am quite optimistic that if we give it till Jan and Feb 2017, things would start to look really good for all the guys in this thread.

Wanted to share video of another CIC guy speaking at Edmonton Career, Education and Settlement Immigrant Fair, October 2016!

He s speaking about the backlog (economy immigrants), how most of it is on the way to be cleared until 2017. Except that, no new info but you can ask the girl who uploaded it on YT, maybe she knows more.

Hi guys,
Sitting at 451 since may,2016.hoping for the best.

Looking at the last few draws and considering that it is almost year end and CIC has yearly quota to complete. The number of invitations will increase and more likely the minimum CRS will drop but I think it would be 450-480 because there are a number of applicants in the 470-180 range.

Actually the quota for this year was already overstretched. People with ITA like from October + are already counted for 2017. And if there will be more points for family members and international studens the only thing it will do is to increase the needed points for ITA.

Oh, I guess noone asked the important question. Too bad.

A big day tomorrow, quota will affect future draws. And Wednesday 2 Nov hopefully a draw. Fingers crossed.

Am wondering when do they put these quotas into work,do they apply it instantly or does it take effect in new year?
