I have seen him post negative stuff, but why would you care ? It is just a speculation, better concentrate on what is important now instead of reading posts of people who has no clue about ITA's .

I dont want to promote negative sentiments here but i seriously feel that some kind of intentional manipulation is there regarding ITA's ... Cut off scores are increased by reducing no. of invites so that more and more people fell prey to PNP's high fee in order to qualify .... Such as 1500 cdn for ontario pnp and so on .... I think PNP's should have nominal fees such as 50 or 100 cdn .... Else, canadian immigration is going to be a big money game like that of aus immigraton.

I think it is just part of their game, they increase CRS cut off score in order to get people with better English and qualifications. I don't think they will do any changes to EE program until the beginning of new year, they have to fulfill quota first and finish 2016 plan.

What i think they are going to issue 2000+ invitation in September and till the end of the year to get get all applicants with scores 400+ out of the pool and than they will do changes for International students etc. Hopefully i am correct, otherwise lets just hope for better.

Dear Sluffy

42000 quota for PNP which makes around 100K of people to be admitted this year

Is it mean around 50000 ITAs are targeted to issue on 2016 by CIC ????

This is the rough number of application to be proceed and visa issued in 2016. But it includes both EE and pre-EE system.

I'm grateful to him for providing the link to the official inventory staff.

But people here tend to post messages without any reason, just for talking and making forum a complete mess.
Sharing information and opinions is important, even if it does not help you directly.

Guys

CIC is opaque on purpose. Disclosing too much information makes the system vulnerable to manipulation. They want to retain the capability to tweak the system to suit their preferences at all times. Its not fair but its how life is.

We do not know how CIC works. Even the steps till PPR might not be same for 2 people with the same profiles same AOR same country. So how can we comment on the number of ITAs vs. quotas.

All statements by CIC / Officials are subject to change. So intsead of fighting over who is right or spreading -ve news lets just focus on helping each other solve their doubts.

dear Phunkdified,
how it can be possible to get PNP with 330 points and visa too?
May be they have valid job offers!

Yes you can, Ontario has a limitation of 400points to get expression of interest letter. You can apply for many other provinces where they have their own scoring which is easy to make. If you want, i can get you link for threads which will help you. I personally has seen 3 people between 330 to 380 get pnp. One from manitoba, and another two are Saskatchewan.

These 'what are the chances' threads really rub people the wrong way eh? hehe

I prefer to take this perspective on the matter:

Be positive but be realistic - We don't know when exactly CIC will lower the draw scores at this time. It's been said over and over again that they are clearing backlog which is why the notion of CRS480+ for the past three months does not make sense. That small number does not represent the Express Entry applicants and this score is catered only to PNPs CECs and those with job offers (which is a small fraction of the applicant pool). While waiting, just make good use of your time by preparing for the ITA requirements, learn French, improve your scores, or apply for provincial nomination. Or better yet...don't think about migration at all! Go on with your life as if it did not exist...and come back to it when you have your invite.

Be realistic but don't be a downer - "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all" The internet is so emotionally volatile, that one negative remark sparks all sorts of petty quarrels online. There's always a more neutral way of breaking the news to someone. Anyway if the backlog is as dire as 380,000 as earlier claimed, CIC would be prudent enough to put on hold the creation of new EE profiles until everything is sorted out. I reckon they will also issue a statement about this to keep everyone calm. They are not foolish enough to keep accepting new applications without any feasible plan to resolve the issue. They know the issue better than any of us so rather than speculate further, let's just go on with our lives and let them fix the situation.

Things will get better. You just need to be patient about it :)

WEll said: it is better to not to think about immigration at all, it is hard, but just reading people's negative assumptions make me negative as well.
Im at the point that i can only bump my score 5 more to 479, but that is big if: I have to score CLB10 IELTS and i don't feel like spending 500 $ and just hoping that i will pass it better this time.
If i meant to live in Canada it will happen, if not i'll just explore other options.
Good luck to everyone

1804 ITAs with cutoff score 475.

CRS score 400 - 470 discuss our chances.

Its the best time to start discussion here
