I live in India and have started the process to apply for express entry - federal skilled worker immigration. Both my spouse and I are going to take the IELTS next month after which we will enter the pool. I'm guessing we can't apply before that right?
In the meantime I have a question about getting ECA for my wife.
She has a 4 year Diploma in Crafts & Design from Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur. As per CRS if her ECA results in "Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" she gets 8 points , otherwise she gets 2 for just a high school diploma.
My question is will WES evaluate her diploma? I couldn't find her course or institute listed on their free evaluation tool. How can I be sure? Also, is there another designated organization that will in about the same time as WES? Lastly, if we decide just to move forward with her High School (Diploma) , will we need an ECA for that too?
We have a calculated point score of 457 with 8 points for her education, otherwise 452 with just the high school diploma. Of course this is assuming that we will do very well on our IELTS (fingers crossed).
I hope I'm headed in the right direction.
