My mother applied for a visitors visa on the 8th of November and got a biometrics appointment on Dec 22. Ever since the visa has just been in processing despite several web form inquiries and direct emails to Delhi immigration. They respond back with the same email saying there are a lot of...
Hi, they released this on Twitter about 8 hours back and I just used it to book biometrics successfully. It was fast and convenient.

No need to pay anyone any money.
Hope this helps.

Yes I thought so as well. Let's see. If it happens without biometrics, will update here. Still good to go this route because less questions at border
@sb0821 I am just concerned about not knowing something for certain. I am not sure if CIC is processing the application without biometrics. They have not clearly mentioned this in any form of communication and have not yet responded to inquiries made via web form.

@sb0821 Congratulations on getting the visa. We are in a similar situation and I'm really confused about the biometrics for which fee has already been paid but VFS New Delhi is not accepting appointments. On Friday, we received a letter from RROC after emailing exemptions with subject "COVID-19...
I honestly don't know if a gift affidavit woks so I can't comment on it.
Please refer to the section that says "What we accept as proof" on this link - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html. It clearly states...
CONGRATULATIONS!! You are one step closer :)
Here is what I did in 2018. It's been a while but may still be relevant.
1. I had savings and salaried accounts with ICICI and a couple of fixed deposits. I moved money around and created more fixed deposits. Then, I got a letter from ICICI...
I don't see any harm in emailing them and follow instructions under section "What to do if you’ve already applied for a visitor visa". It says they will contact you within 14 days of receipt of the application. But I recommend discussing with an IRCC customer service rep first.
I am not sure, it's best to call their customer support on Monday. If you have already done step 2 then I guess it should work. Sorry I am not a 100% , I just found this article an hour back :)
@sb0821 came across some useful information on Canada.ca - if you have already applied for a visa you can send an email to prioritise your application with details to ircc as per this link...
Wow that's clever! Did you wait for Biometrics test and then booked visa appointment in Dubai or she was there already?
Also, did CIC require medicals for visitors visa too?
Thanks @rajwinder111 , from a financial perspective it makes more sense to get a super visa but from a timing perspective the travel visa seems to be processing faster. With that in mind I am thinking of doing the travel visa.
Thanks for sharing. I'm now thinking of applying for a visitor's visa. The only caveat being the finances of my in laws. I'm not sure how to show their account - if just statements will do or a bank letter is required. Things like how much history do they see because I could transfer some money...
Oh okay, is there an online calculator that you used to estimate the funds required for their entire stay? What purpose did you mention in your invitation letter? Also, did you mention you would pay for things like their return flight tickets etc?
