CRS in 440s - Do we stand a chance

Hi Everyone, I have a Core CRS score of 441 and am part of the Express Entry pool eligible for the FSW program. Since the November announcement about changes to Express Entry scoring I have been waiting eagerly for the draws because going through the past years draws I had felt that with the removal of the 600 points for the job offer, the overall scores would drop substantially, but this feeling now seems to be waning. The cut-off score for the 16 September draw seemed quite high and the conversations here seem to point towards people with scores as high as 470s being apprehensive about their chances of receiving an ITA in 2017 .

Any thoughts on this? Do we (people in the 440s) even stand a chance? Would love to hear others thoughts.

We have no idea. Keep trying to increase points, pnps and general waiting. It could swing anyway.

It is really hard to say as of now. I remember when all those immigration specialist's predicion was 370 after recent changes. No one knows any updated statistics. Any chances with LMIA?

to be honest no one here can tell you that , if you have atleast 1 year left on your PGWP then there is a chance that it might come down to 440's in summer, or atleast oinp will be back by then for sure .

My score is close to yours at 439. PNP seems to be a "Ray of Hope" in 2017. My IELTS score is L-8.5 R-8.5 W-7.5 S-8, so not thinking of retaking it. Will try my hand at TEF, which may help in bumping up CRS.
Keeping fingers crossed and hopes high! 8)

I would say dont wait for EE CRS cut off to come down to 440s. It might take a while as lot of people have accumulated above that score. Also, you might lose points for age in the meantime (if you are over 29). Attempt to increase your score if you can or/and go for PNP route.
