The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to section 10.3 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, gives the annexed Ministerial Instructions Respecting Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence under the Express Entry System (November 2, 2016).

MINISTERIAL INSTRUCTIONS RESPECTING INVITATIONS TO APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE UNDER THE EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM (NOVEMBER 2, 2016)

Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on November 2, 2016 and ending on November 3, 2016 is 2,080.

Required rank

(2) Foreign nationals who, on November 2, 2016 at 12:34:57 UTC, have been assigned a total of 472 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

I'm at 473. Happy beyond words. Good luck to everyone else too. Hopefully the cutoffs will drop even further.

I'm 5 points less, just 0.5 for my english test. Should have took one in the past a few months and bump up a little bit. CRY!!!

They're taking in close to 2000 ITAs now. Hopefully it will drop further.

2000 invites doesn't mean anything if half of that are nominations. Cutoff seems reasonable. If ontario keeps the trend in giving away the nominations fast we might see a record number of invitees before end of year

I was at 473. Should hopefully get a notification in the next 24 hours about the ITA. It isn't reflecting in the profile as of now.

I suggest candidates receiving the ITA in today's draw connect and help each other with documentation and timelines.

Congratulations to all who got selected today. This is an extremely encouraging trend for the rest of us. Issuing over 2000 invitations is a very positive sign and should give hope to a lot of people out there. Congratulations to the lucky ones once again.
