IMO, it's not reasonable to try to learn French from scratch to boost CRS. You need to get at least CLB 5 to earn points (somewhere between basic and intermediate). But if you already have some previous background with learning French, maybe you can consider it. Even native French speakers find the TEF difficult.

You have a high enough score. There's reason to believe the draws ought to come down eventually. Can't say if it will happen in a couple of draws, but eventually.

Thank you for reply yeah you are right i have no previous knowledge of french so i have to learn it from the scratch which is gonna be hard. But i am considering french bcz it'll help in the future not only for CRS but in my career also so in my opinion there is no harm to try it i guess... :)

461 is a good score. I am assuming that you are looking at options to improve your CRS for direct ITA. If so, have you tried all other options of improving your CRS?

yes IELTS is max can only get 3 points more but that is hard.
ECA is already done.
1 year work experience can't do much about it.
French is the only option left.

Yes, just for 3 points, it does not make sense to retake IELTS. It looks like you are a singe applicant, otherwise you could have got IELTS and ECA done for spouse.

Based on the trend, the score for direct ITA has gone down till 450, so you have a ray of hope here. But in the interim, if you get PT NOI from Ontario, it might be worthwhile to consider it. It seems Ontario has not been sending out PT NOIs since mid Feb, I feel that that they may start to send out PTs in May. Meanwhile, you can start looking at other provinces as well.

Wait for a couple of draw and try to apply for a pnp? OINP?

This summer a couple of existing PNPs are going to open-up :) NSNP, QSWP, SINP... :)

Guys thanks for reply. I really dont want to go for pnp as it takes lot of time. I'll join the french and see how it goes. I think in 3 months i can learn french to get CLB 6 or 7. Or is it too hard to learn french??

Yes, in the end it is your call whether to go for PNP or learn French. :) Since you are already planning to learn French and you have mentioned a period of 3 months (the time period for at least 6 ITA draws), you can see whether the score for direct ITA will go down or not. In case it goes down to 461, you can apply without TEF. All the best!

You have a great score and most likely will be getting your ITA sooner rather than later, above 460 is definitely safe.
It will take minimum 4-6 months for you to learn french and even then you might not get the required tef score as you need an immersion environment to learn so quickly, my advice is if you have free time then there is no harm in learning a new language. But its not necessity for you, you are strong case. All the best.

461 is a very good score . French is difficult trust me i have been trying to learn it. With this score U'll probably get an ITA in month or two.
Good luck

Unless you speak a latin language like Italian or spanish, you are completely delusional if you think you're gonna learn french in 3 months. Specially if you have absolutely no knowledge of french. You clearly don't grasp the difficulty of the language. Tef is really hard you will not get the points you need like that.

Only way to learn the basics of french language properly in such a short amount of time would be to take very intensive and frequent courses and live in a french speaking country.

I am not trying to demotivate you to learn French I just want you to be realistic. 6 months seems at least a little bit more realistic.
