Hello folks,
I am looking for some tailored advise in relation to getting Canadian PR and would be extremely grateful, if someone can help me out and save some of my money that otherwise may need to be given to immigration consultants/attorneys.

My CRS score is 452, what are my chances - and the best option therefore? Recent draws have been all around 480, so being picked straight from EE is seemingly unlikely. Also note, I have no ties in Canada and have never been there.

Summary: From: India, Age: 32 (nxt month 33), Edu: Masters (Engineer), IELTS: L-8, R-9, W-7, S-8 & work ex: 8 years (last 5 years as IT Business Analyst).

* I have not received any mail from Ontario province for PNP.

Re: @ CRS 452 - Best options to get PR

Your chances of being selected under FSW/EE are currently low. Ontario isn't issuing invitations at this time. They may start again later this year.

You need to look into the other Provincial Nomination programs.

Re: @ CRS 452 - Best options to get PR

Retake IELTs and try to get CLB 9 or more in everything, you`ll have a huge bump in your score

Thanks for your suggestion, actually I am on CLB 9 and getting to CLB 10 will increase my CRS by only 6 points

For Ontario PT you will need to wait till November. They are damn slow at the moment.

Alternatively, try SINP. Its a quick process. Also you can try for PEI or Nova Scotia when they open.

Thanks for your advise. Yes, about Ontario, I guess I have been unlucky. In general, I have not been thorough with PNP requirements of various provinces, but what most of them ask for is some sort of educational exp in that province or some work exp in that province. Is there any particular province where you think my case would be a better fit?

Buddy try SINP. Google this. Its a province nomination program for Saskatchewan. That's your best bet at the moment. They will again reopen in a month or so. Right now not accepting applications. But when they will open they will only have a quota of 500 which gets filled in one day or so. You need to be quick.

You will need to maintain the minimum funds starting from 3 months prior to the date your application gets submitted in their portal. Start arranging documents now.

Just my opinion :)
This may sound a little deviated, but if you are not sticking to just Canada.. try Australia PR as a backup. Looking at your experience and Ielts score, it will be way easier to get Australia PR(as a backup). I have been reading that the cutoff for EE will decrease gradually, however, there is no official news when that decline would be.

Good opinion. Even I have Australia as a back up option.

But not everyone may want to shift to Australia. Moreover in his case he will end up at 60 points in total. With 60 points very little chances to get an invite under 189 visa for his occupation.

Re: @ CRS 452 - Best options to get PR

Up your score on IELTS and education (if possible). That's the quickest course of action.
If you plan to apply through Express Entry, you may need to wait a while (best case scenario wait a month...worse case maybe 6 months?).

If waiting is not an option, look for provincial nomination. Saskatchewan opens every now and then....NB and PEI are also open.

Australia is also a good option, although between this and Canada....Canada seems to be faring better nowadays.

Well my CRS is indeed 452, the answer to the question, "is your spouse coming with you" is 'Yes' in my case.
