Hey everyone. Like many of you, I'm in the same boat. 441 CRS have been in the pool since late Feb 2016.
I think the optimism in the group has been great, and like you I hope that scores come down over the next 2 to 3 months. I do wonder however how far into the low 440s the scores will reach though.
The 2015 end-of-year report indicated that there were 13,537 people in the 440-449 group. That was after approximately one year of operation of the EE system. There have never been any EE rounds with CRS < 450. This means that many people who entered the EE pool in 2015 in this points range would presumably still be in the pool. Then you have to take into account all the additional people with 440-450 CRS points who have joined the pool in the last 12 months. I expect there have been double the number of applicants to the pool throughout 2016. Even taking into account that some people would have gone down the PNP route, I would speculate there could be at least 20,000 or more people currently in the 440-449 range. While I believe the cut off will drop in the next couple of months, based on these numbers, I wonder how realistic it is that the points will drop to the low 440s.
For everyone's sake, I hope the cut off decreases and those that have been waiting a long time are rewarded for their patience and diligence. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the 2016 end of year report when it is released just to see how much the picture has changed in the last 12 months!
All the best,
Stephan
