Hello,

Does anyone know how it works to land by crossing the US border at Niagara considering I do NOT have a US visa? How long do you think I'd have to wait at the border for this? I'm going on the weekend so I assume it would be busier and may take more time...

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

My wife and I landed at Rainbow Bridge, and she did not have a US visa either. It was very simple, you just walk across to the US side, enter the building and tell them that you are there to flagpole for a Canadian PR landing. They've done it many times. They will take your passport and fill out an "administrative refusal" form, then send you back across the bridge the way you came.

That form will serve to prove to CBSA that you actually left Canada. It took us all of about 20 minutes, and I think it was only because they were having computer issues that day. It wasn't on a weekend, but the middle of a weekday, so it may take a bit longer for you.

Good luck, and welcome!
