Hey all!

SO I applied for nexus card's for my family and I (all approved) but have a family member coming with us who does not hold a nexus card (doesn't have time or need to apply as well).

My question is, I am a PR (British Citizen) and hate the fact, I have to get out of the car every time at the border for fingerprints etc. Wondering even in the regular lanes, does nexus exempt me from this process? Does anyone know?

Thanks all

Cheers

No, there is no difference for Nexus holders that use the regular lanes, and you could be subject to the same questions as anyone else. The fact that you hold a Nexus will generally make the process easier, but you are still treated like anyone else.

I think you might be missing my point. As a British citizen, crossing a land border ESTA does not apply thus you have to go in the office, pay the VWP $6 or so fee and do your fingerprints. Nexus allows me to skip that process every time! My question is because I use the regular lanes does that make nexus null and void? Wondering if anyone has any i

In a non-nexus lane, every traveler is processed as a regular. You can still use your Nexus card instead of passport but it's recommended you have your passport handy too. I am sure you are aware of this: don't end up in Nexus Lane with a non-nexus passenger. Safe travels.
Thanks for this clarification! I really appreciate it
