Hi Guys, during the landing procedure, we have to declare to the cbsa officer if we are bringing in more than 10k CAD, right? This may include cash, cheques, bank draft etc.

Now, I have an account in HSBC Canada which I opened even while I am NOT yet in Canada and I plan to wire my money into that account prior to landing, do I have to declare it to cbsa also if I am transferring more thank 10k CAD? Thanks in advance for those who will respond :)

No, wire transfers don't need to be declared, as they are not going through Customs.
