Hello all,
I've done a lot of googling, but has not been able to find the exact information that I am hoping will help our specific case. Facts:
My question is what is the best strategy to take at the border? I know most say to say he is visiting, and unless specifically asked not to mention the wedding. However, accounting for the suitcases he will have (2), and the exit/entry dates I am thinking leading with the work permit makes more sense. Are there any drawbacks of saying at the border that he is coming to use his work permit? As a back up he will have a return ticket in October, and also one for April 2016 to prove that he intends to come back no matter what after his permit expires. He can also present a contract from his current Peruvian employer that says he will have a consulting/freelance position for the next two months with them. Or will the fact that he arrives June 19, leaves June 30 (honeymoon) and comes back again July 12 be an issue and inconsistent with the story?
Thank you in advance!

- My fiance is Peruvian, but also holds an Italian passport so is visa exempt for entry to Canada.
- I am Canadian obviously and we will be getting married in June 27 and then going on a 10 day honeymoon in Europe, coming back to Canada July 12.
- After we receive our marriage certificate we will begin the outland application for sponsorship with Lima office.
- He also holds a Postgraduate Work Permit that is valid until May 2016 as he finished his MBA in university in Canada.
