Anyone have any tips on this? I am driving her back in January after Christmas. We will have documents proving ties to the USA and a return ticket! Anything else I should know about?

Not sure what you mean by "return ticket" if you're driving, but it sounds like it will be fine. Don't think you need to worry. My wife and I cross the border all the time to see her family and they've never really given us a hard time.

I mean a return ticket for a flight home. I will not be driving her home. I will only be driving her up!

there's no other input needed. you have ties to the us and proof of a return ticket, so you'll be fine.
