(This is for common-law sponsorship and work permit) The principal applicant declared to be unemployed for 2 months when he was in his native country on his past approved work permit (in employment history section). He declared unemployed because he was just working for his dad part-time, so he doesn't really count that as official employment even though he was being paid.

Fast-forward to today, we submitted our sponsorship application and open work permit and we decided to declare that he was employed and working for his dad during that 2 months (in 10 year personal history section).

Should we include a follow-up explanation why he declared unemployed before and now we're saying he was employed? Without this explanation, will our application be flagged due to inconsistencies between past application and current?
