For some countries like the USA, if I want to apply for a VISA, my passport must have been issued for more than 6 months.

Does this same rule apply to Canada? I intend to issue my passport right after submitting my EE profile, will the fact that my passport will be brand new, invalidate the passport regarding immigration?

Countries that have a six month validity rule tend to have it on the other end: your passport must be valid for six months longer than your proposed travel. So don't worry here, Canada has none of these rules :)
