Criminality passed but Security not started. Any chance RCMP will still be required?

As shown in title, guys. I did not submit the RCMP in advance with my application as it was not required. Just out of curiousity, as my criminality is passed, but security not started yet. Any chance they would ask for that report?
Any idea are appreciated! Thank you guys!

Yes, I got request even after my criminality was passed. Not only me but also I only noticed other people on same boat.

So many time time called Ircc and confirm that criminality passed but eligibility in progress.
July 19 ,2021 Got rcmp request, called Ircc and confirmed that eligibility passed .

Yes, I got request even after my criminality was passed. Not only me but also I only noticed other people on same boat.

My friend told me, most probably CIC/RCMP, do a name based check all over Canada, and if there is some criminal with your name, they ask for fingerprint to check if you are that criminal or not

Yah I also understand this. But my point is even when criminality is passed (security not started), some applicants are still asked for that report. Wondering should I apply for that report in while waiting…

I think you should wait. Maybe you are one of the lucky one who don't need it

I am in a similar situation and asked the same question a few days ago. I am applying for my PCC because my previous RCMP PCC will be one year old in October. Cant risk them asking for an RCMP and me not having it. It takes 2-3 months to get one.
