Criminal Record Check

Can anybody tell me??

It says you need a criminal record check for anywhere you have lived in the last 10 yrs for over a 6 months... So would he need one for Canada too?
Srry I'm not to great at understanding all these guides, I know it seems pretty straightforward but I've made soo many mistakes so far, I need help..

No, not unless CHC requests one for Canada.

I have the same question. I have already submitted my application. But now I'm wondering if I did the criminal record check properly. He had lived in Canada for over a year before the application.
He was in Canada at the time, so we got one done by the local police. However in reading further it looks like we should have submitted one received from the RCMP. Had anyone had any success with a criminal record check from the local police?
