I have a peculiar situation, that for once might be beneficial for me =))
I lived in Canada since I was 17 and never left the country for more than 3 months (one long summer vacation). So, according to CIC website, since I have not spent more than six months anywhere else but Canada, I
a) Don't need a Police Certificate from my own country
b) Only need it from Canada

Am I right? I sure hope so =))
Cheers, Itsy

Are you the sponsor or applicant? Either way, you only need Criminal Record Checks for countries you have lived in for 6 months or longer.

I am the applicant, turned 18 here in Canada.
YEY so I was right and I don't need the check from my country only Canada. It is just a pain to get it (you have to be there in person, and that is a bit impossible for me right now). So, I was very happy to read this bit on CIC website.
