Hey guys, I'm thinking about doing some travelling whilst I wait for PR possibly to Australia. Will I have to notify CIC and complete a criminal background check for any countries I visit?

I was also thinking about travelling, but after some research, I found out the copr is posted to your home address, and I don;t want to miss it when I finally get to that stage.
to avoid any confusion with cic, instead of giving an address abroad, I will change my address to a family members address in same country, nearer the time, so I can be notified.

If you are travelling for a long period of time it is something to think about..

I thought about that, I was going to change my mailing address to my parents house in Canada as I'll be terminating the lease on the house I rent in the UK.. not paying £800 a month when I could use that money to travel My only concern is that I need to be sure I have passed the eligibility before I go traveling, if it's just a case of ticking all the right boxed it should be fine but I haven't received MR yet although I did send medical upfront with my application back in 2014 surely they will request a new one?

yea, that is best, I guess you can assume eligibility is passed when you receive rprf request.
what month did you do your medicals? I think I've only read in the forum 1 person who got requested a second medical.
from what I read,the expiry date of the copr is 1 year from the date of your medicals..

I already paid RPRF when we got the error email and it's been added to my file, I'm still waiting for MR. I did do medical upfront for my original application which was returned un-processed, when I re-submitted my PR in August 2014 I included my medical as it was technically still valid but they have long since expired now. Also when I called CIC to ask about my case they said everything looks fine but they don't have my medical results on file.
