Hi,

I just applied for Credit card with Scotiabank. And, I am currently on work permit in Canada.

I am going to buy a car with 50% down-payment and I will finance the rest 50%.

What is the starting credit score with Scotiabank? Do I start from the lowest or they look at my annual income / saving in the account etc. to determine my starting credit score?
If you have any suggestions on the best & fastest way to finance a car, please let me know. I am looking to buy a car within 3-4 weeks so I need your advice.

thanks a lot.

Why not ask the car dealership?

Banks do not decide credit score starting or otherwise. Credit score is calculated by third party companies like trans union or Equifax based on variety of factors. This article may help What Is a Good Credit Score? | TD Canada Trust
