As there are others who have already received their PER you will get a good idea of when to request your PCC as the months go by. I don't think you have to do anything quite yet.
To Mis and Canadahome: Arcticmaple is a post 26/6 applicant. All those who applied after last June send all their documents to CIO Nova Scotia from the start. One shot. No more chances, so Arcticmaple does not have to get another package together. Eventually he will have to supply PCCs, medicals and landing fees. It is quite a different process now. Good luck with your applications.

Dear Pippin,
Thanks very much for the information. Also when do they ask for bank statement? When would they send my documents to VO New Delhi for background checking, medical request, pcc etc.. When will i get my file number so that i can check my status online? I want to know why CIC is taking nearly 4-months time to send PER? Earlier once eligibility according to NOC's is checked CIC would send full set of documents immediately to VO for further processing etc. According to new rules what is the role of VO NEW DELHI?
Thanks much!
regards,
arcticmaple.

The 26/6 crowd are at the forefront of the new process and we are learning things every day as no one else has gone from start to finish yet. Read the earlier posts in the 26/6 thread and you will find the answers to many of your questions. I believe the bank statement is part of the Proof of Funds sent with your application to CIO. Check your CIO and VO specific checklists and read the instruction guide and it will tell you what is required. It is Ques 10 in Sched 3. You would use your bank statement to prove you had sufficient unencumbered funds for the number of people in your application. I don't think anyone has been able to check their status online for many months. Role of VO isn't fully known yet, but likely background checks, security checks, medical, passport requests and visa stamping. Good Luck.
