I got my PR visa for Canada in Canada Experience Class category - my education is from India - do I need to get my credentials assessed again before coming to Canada to work ?

It depends on the field of study?

But if I were you, I would use a credential evaluation agency to evaluate my degree..etc

This way if you want to pursue further education in Canada upon arrival, you will be ready to apply at any school.

One of the very well known agencies is World Education Services, their website is wes.org

Carefully go through the website. It should have links to credential assessment agencies in Canada.

if you have got your PR then no need to re-do the credentials assessment.

He will still need to if he wants to study further or in fact might have to retake some exams to get the Canadian equivalent certification done.

If it is just for employment then that depends on the employer.

The initial question was "do I need to get my credentials assessed again before coming to Canada to work ?"
this explains

1. he/she is coming for work. (Canada to work )
2. he/she has done the assessment once already (my credentials assessed again).

so for work no need to do credential assessment. and even if he/she has to study then the assessment has already been done once. so no need.
