i think you should look up for a bridging program in a local university or college. They will do the assessment and as give you a lot info on finding a job and guide you with certification. Furthermore, these programs are mostly free and are part-time on evenings/weekends, so you will be able to work full-time. I think they are paid out of govt. budget, so it's the same funds that we pay to participate in the immigration programs.
