Yes - it is compulsory.

just the degree n transcript or secondary/higher secondary certificates as well?

i have heard that this ECA is only for those who are applying under PHD program or have any job offer there in canada...
but if u r applying in any of 22 categories and u dont have job offer u dont need this ECA..
is this right?

No - that's wrong. If you are applying for one of the 24 categories you still need to complete the assessment.

so we cant apply untill documents gets assesed?? or should we apply and simultaneuisly send documents for assesment and once we recieve the documents send them to cic....as it takes almost 4weeks for assesment? what u say?

I am primary applicant - do I need credential assessment for my spouse as well? Correct me if Im wrong but I think under the new points criteria , we get no points for spouse edcuation, rather we get for spouse english.

Hence, as per my understanding, we need not get ECA done for spouse. but can anyone confirm? If we do get it done, do we get any benefit? Thanks

Scylla, I have sent my Post Secondary Documents only (as I am bachelors), to WES. I think I don't need secondary school certificate verification for FSWP? As on WES site, they have mentioned, if I have completed more than 2 years of Post Secondary Education, that I don't need them to be evaluated.

Thanks!!

Again, you cannot apply until you have received the results of your assessment. If you submit the FSW application without the assessment, it will be refused.

Principal applicant only.

they making the process harder each time the close and reopen it. is WES the only site that accepted by FWS or we can use other credential assements websites

Hi,
I have completed my bachelors degree from Mumbai university. Can someone please guide me regarding the process for getting my educational credentials assessed for application to the FSWP.

scylla is right, only principal applicants need their educational credentials evaluated for eca and as to your other question, i don't think there would be a benefit if you will also submitted your spouse credentials for eca
