Hi Guys

I am very new to EE system and have a basic question here.

Is it possible to update my EE profile once it is created?

I am working full time in Canada in order to obtain 1 years of experience by next March so I can obtain more points for my EE Profile.

My current estimated CRS points without Canadian experience is around 390. Once I obtain 1 years of experience then it would go up to 460. I am also seeking to retake my CELPIP for the better points (Mine is CLB 7 now).

Wondering if it is okay to create the profile now then keep updating everytime there is any update on my profile? (such as english, Canadian experience and etc)

Or, would it be better to wait untill I obtain more positive CRS scores above the draw then create?

If you submit your profile now, and you are determined to be eligible for FSW and your score ends up high enough for an ITA, you will receive an invitation under the FSW program.

You can update at any time, keep it mind that after you submit updates (e.g. new language scores), it usually takes about 24 hours for the system to reflect the update.

HOWEVER - you should also be aware of the system glitch that catches a lot of people. The EE profile (for some inscrutable reason) uses only mm/yyyy for dates, however, your eligibility is actually calculated using full dates (mm/dd/yyyy).

Example: Let's say you worked from June 30, 2015 to July 31, 2016. The profile would give you credit for all of June and all of July 2016 starting July 1. In this scenario, you could actually get credit for 2 extra months before you are actually eligible.

So just be careful - you must be eligible on the date you receive the ITA, and it is possible to receive the ITA before you are eligible. It is your responsibility to know if/when you are actually eligible regardless of how the system calculates it, so you could potentially have to turn down an ITA. In your case, this is not an issue for the FSW, but it could be later if you were to receive an ITA for CEC.

Thank you very much. I understand that under FSW, it is required to show Proof of Funds. Do I need to have this money in my Canadian account at the moment I create my profile?

Because I currently do not have this money in my account but my parents are willing to send it into my account anytime soon.

When you get the ITA, it's preferable to have had the minimum in your account for at least 6 months. After you get your ITA, you will only get 90 days so you should plan accordingly. It may not look good if you suddenly get a large sum of money post ITA.

Hi and thanks for your encourging. Just wondeirng what you mean by that my score ends up enough for an ITA since the recent cut-off is between 415-423 ;)
