Created EE profile. What can I do in the meantime?

I submitted my EE profile today and I'm ranked at CRS 433 under NOC 2174. While I wait for either Ontario to send me PT or the cutoff to come down to 433, what things can I complete in advance to save time later?

Here're my facts:
Indian resident (Mumbai)
Presently employed. 3 past employers.
Passport expires in Feb 2017
Don't yet have $12000 reserve
Not taking assistance of any consultant for this application

Mate, i guess you did select ontario and they may issue a letter of interest... so then you can apply for PNP.

In the mean ,time... try to increase your IELTS maybe?

You can learn french, or increase your IELTS score (if you don't have CLB9)
Also, you can research other provinces you might be interested in.

No scope of improving on IELTS. I got R-9,L-8.5,S-7.5,W-7. Frankly speaking, I don't want to go through that phase again and anyway, CLB-10 will give me only a raise of 3 points.

What I am looking for is suggestions for the things that I can complete while I wait in EE Pool. Could be things like getting Police Clearance Certificate, getting reference letters from past employers, etc., If somebody can list that out.

You can begin collecting the details of the pay stub and appointment letter and all paper work from your employment history

Try getting the reserves. Thats the most important thing. And also track your previous employers because OINP requires a specific experience letter with details of your employment. So try getting in touch with past employers for that to save time. if you have relatives in ontario and you are showing ties, you must get their legal documents to show proof of ties as well, so you can work on that as well. hope this helps!

Other than preparing for the application (Pay stubs, work reference letters etc) you can start creating FDs to show in the funds section and you will be ready by the time you get an ITA. Depending on your profession you could start doing some certifications that are valued in Canada and would help you in getting a job offer.

Considering you are waiting for OINP PT notification, please go through OINP application guide in detail and gather all the required documents section by section before hand. Make sure you have sufficient funds maintained per LICO (atleast for 3 months) before you apply for OINP.
