guys got a new question when i filled my tax returns for 2010,2011 i did not include my wife's salary who was working in the middle east.she lest her job and joined me in canada on june 2011.I have not included her salary details while filing tax returns in the year 2010,2011 but when i submitted cec application i did mentioned her details that she was working in the middle east.Will a cross check happens between CRA and CEC?.Please reply

When you filed your taxes in 2010 and 2011, did you put down you were married ? b.c i had to put down her salary even though she is overseas
 
No I did not put her salary..I put salary her salary as 0.is it a problem?.pls reply
 
Hi Jammie,

You have a genuine point of concern....as CIC asks for tax return details with application.....they can always cross-check with CRA......but CRA gives a time period of 4yrs to make corrections to previous tax returns....so I think that should not be a big problem.....how about you call CRA helpline to confirm that how you can make corrections to ur tax account in this coming year....as the tax returns are again around the corner.....I guess you have a chance to fix this matter.....n you can always send your latest proof of tax return.....hope u will be able to do it before they process your file....

But do you think I should make corrections or should wait till they process my file.i already got medicals.Will they gonna do the checking now.i thought after medicals it's pretty quick say max 2 months.If I do anything now it gonna affect my application.Do you know after medicals what they do.

Hi Jammie,

If you already have ur medical.....in that case there are chances that u will get PPR b4 u can get ur coming T4......so I think you are just there so try to relax...have +ve thoughts....wish u very good luck n hope u will get ur PPR very soon......
