Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I have been thinking that you and I would get our DMs around the same time with such a similar timeline. I hope I'm right. I'm feeling a little more optimistic now. :D You must be so relieved!

Yea it's been a long journey so many up and downs hope you get DM soon. 8)

Congratulations Jamsham! Given the recent DMs and when they got the generic letter and went IP, I'm sort of thinking (hopefully) I'm about a month away.

I logged in to see if there was any movement this morning and a 4th line was added.

Has anyone had a similar line?
- I received a few emails for intent & proof of payment.
- I also have sent them a change of address & proof of updated passport last month
- We are still waiting on our notes requested a few weeks ago.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 20, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on March 27, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.

4. We sent you correspondence on October 27, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Jamsham got that line on October 30th and then DM followed the next day. I think this might be it for you! :)

Yea they were requesting the option C printout or T4's to provide intent to reside in Canada even though they sent that same document request in August which i supplied on October 20th and I saw that line item i believe October 30th. I received DM yesterday so I believe yours should be coming up shortly.

Has anyone had luck calling the call centre once you got DM to confirm if its approval?

No updates, just DM. I was able to call the call centre though and confirmed for me that it was an approval and told me when the COPR was mailed out, so give that a shot if you are curious?

Ooh, what country were you born in? Why'd yours go to Ottawa?

What did you ask the agent, i have had an agent tell me they are not allowed to look in the file even if it is at decision made,

I thought the prevailing wisdom was that if it's DM without any communication then it's positive as they can't just say "Decision Made" and then flatly reject you, ie. they would give you the opportunity to provide further evidence to solve any problems with your application first before it turned DM

I know people in the past who've had luck with saying something like "I was told by my MP that I got approved for PR. I was wondering when the COPR was mailed out so I know when to expect it." Or something to that effect. Make them think you already know it's positive and trick them into confirming..? I'm pretty sure it's an approval though. :)

I've been away for a bit (visiting my wife down in the US). We also were in the big batch email from October 23. Going to get some additional proof of residency docs together and also confirm to them everything else was submitted with the application.

We received an email this morning asking stating,
"The passport copy that we have on file is about to expire. Please send a copy of the photo/biometric page of a new passport. If desired, this can be scanned and sent as an attachment to an email. "

I did send them a copy of the new passport a few months ago, but emails must still be back logged.

Here's hopping our application is almost complete after this, :P

Received our COPR in the mail today! Of course it was delivered to my parents house in the US, so my mom is overnighting it so we'll have it tomorrow. We can't go down to the border until Friday though. But it took about 6 business days from the day we went to DM to when we received our COPR. I actually had a dream last night that it was delivered and when it's a yes, they put it in a frame for you haha!

Just called the CIC call center thankfully got a really chill helpful agent who told me I have been approved for P.R. To those still waiting, there is light at the end of the tunnel, but wow what a journey it has been the support of the people on this forum has definitely made the process a little bit easier. To the ones waiting I wish you luck and hope the DM will come soon and once again thank you to everyone in this forum that has helped me along this brutal process. ;D
