So do we reply to the email saying that we have already submitted or do we just ignore the email?

"If you have already submitted your police certificates, do not apply for or submit new documents. We will contact you once your application has been reviewed by a visa officer."

It seems to me like Ottawa are pushing applications through in batches and it's an automatic email for those of us that have reached the next step.

From a look at folks timelines it seems like most if not everyone who got this police certificate email today also got requests for proof of intent to return, medical and RPRF around the 19th-21st of August.

So I'm assuming they've processed that stuff and are moving onto police clearance stuff now.

Feb 2015 application here and we also received the same email today requesting an original police clearance form which we submitted up front in our package.

We also received an email two weeks ago requesting proof of sponsor's residency in Canada, medicals (submitted up front) and payment of RPRF (paid up front).

Seems to be a generic email that they send out to everyone whose application has entered that review stage. We are going to ignore it as we have already submitted this but are going to call the call center just to make sure.

Hello all again,

Just wanted to let you guys know my wife's application got DM on August 5, 2015. The application was IP for just about a week, just wondering how long will it take to get the CoPR and when will the PR card come in the mail and what are the next steps?

I didn't get any FBI check email I just emailed Ottawa again asking specifically if they received the documents I sent re: sponsor's Canadian residence and payment of RPRF. Hopefully they actually respond. Chances are they got it just fine, but I'm paranoid and the call centre isn't helping so unfortunately I have to nag them again via email (LOL I actually just noticed in their automatic receipt email that they say they can't answer you if you're asking about confirmation of receipt of documents.... seems I wasted my time. Oh well. :/ Do we just have to ASSUME everything went fine then? Ugh!)

Realistically, how much longer do you guys think we have to go? Weeks? A month? Two months? I'm losing my mind, honestly.

I also got the police clearance email from Ottawa yesterday, i hope this means criminality has finally started and will be the last thing that awaits the COPR. ;D

Did you just pay the RPRF fee last month?

I think a lot of people, myself included, got the RPRF 'request' but had already paid.

While I'm definitely trying not to get my hopes up too much it definitely feels like Ottawa is moving at a decent pace now and seems like there's a lot of folk with DM and COPR coming in the next few weeks!

I emailed them at night and got a message from them the next morning.

Let me know if your file is still at inventory when you receive notes I don't receive mine til Sept 17 :-X and I know we both have almost the same identical timeline.

I received the notes today. From August 10, 2015.. the notes are exactly the same as the other two sets I received in the past. I may have just missed the action though. My ecas didn't change to "in process" until about 10 days after that. Too bad it takes 30 days. I'd love to see my late August/early September notes now. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and submit another request now, or if I should wait a couple of weeks. ??

I would go ahead and order them. Ill let you know what i see when i receive mine on the 17th. I been in process for 5 weeks you would think U.S citizens would be processed the quickest.....

If you or any of your accompanying family members are outside Canada or the United States, please disregard the following instructions and contact CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to issue the documents at a local visa office.

Passport(s)

One copy of this letter

One self-addressed envelope* with your complete mailing address for us to return your passport(s) and Confirmation(s) of Permanent Residence

One envelope* addressed to our office to send your package

*Please refer to the instructions in the table below.



Incorrect mailing addresses could result in your passport(s) being lost. Our office accepts no responsibility for documents lost in the mail.

Can anyone explain this? I thought US citizens were passport exempted?
