All,
I know this is not the right forum topic but I know a bunch of people who have similiar timeline as me on Landing (RCohen + Zerlinth etc) has anyone received their PR cards yet? I landed on Aug 22.
Thanks

Thank you. FYI,I checked ECAS a couple of days back, the status is now complete and the address I gave to the Immigration Officer has been updated though.

Anyone that got their AOR2, is it both parties that receive the email or just the Principal Applicant? Waiting and checking...drives me crazy. :(

unless something has changed recently, ottawa does not send an AOR2, so waiting for it is pointless. not many visa offices send them.

the visa office will get in touch with the APPLICANT if/when they need additional information or a copy of their passport for issuing a visa. it's best to accept there will be months of silence.

Accepting the months of silence is so much easier said than done. However, you are sadly right. :(

and not obsessing about it will certainly make it go "faster". once we got SA, i decided to not obsess and check my status on ECAS daily or even weekly, and my approval came a lot quicker than expected. as the saying goes, "a watched pot does not boil". it's the same with CIC... a watched application does not get approved quicker. The more attention brought to "not hearing anything" will only bring more silence. MAke the choice to enjoy the life you are living NOW, and have faith the application will be successful. it's certainly not easy, just something that is important to do every day to get through the process.

Ok, thanks for the info. Yes we should just accept that it will be months of silence..... Hmmm...somehow it does not seem to make it any better or easier to deal with. It is what it is. Obviously we are living are lives....constantly wondering...it's human nature. What you gonna do... :D

You are not alone iNick. I have been checking also, even though I know we don't see anything yet. Its just how it is. Those who say they didnt check at least once must be lying lol

Hang in there! Ottawa requested my passport 08/08 and my status was just updated to DM yesterday so that is hopeful for you!

Finally got a passport request! They told us at our interview in LA it would be another month or two (or maybe less) until everything was finalized, and for once they actually gauged a timeline accurately! Yessssssss!!!! Updating the spreadsheet felt reeeeeeal good! :D
