Not sure when it changed to DM since I haven't checked in a about a week.
Hopefully we are approved!

Hi! based on my experience, i think 3 months is ok...It has been a few months since I submitted requested documents, but I am still waiting to hear back from them. I have sent a numerous emails, but cic said that my application is pending for review by officer. btw, are you in work visa or student visa in China? or just visitor/tourist visa?

I have been a permanent resident of China for the past decade.

In response to rhcohen2014 above, I do believe my application was processed in Beijing, as I know my medical records were processed in Manila, which is where the Asia regional health officer is based.

We sent an email to CIC on Thursday night asking what the delay was, and they emailed back saying they wanted me to do another X-ray health check-up, even though my previous health check doesn't expire until next month. Fair enough. Got one done yesterday and was sent off. I am pleased to hear they are actually looking at it. Anyone have a guess on when I may hear from them again now that, I think, they have all the final pieces?

Thanks everyone for the insight.

Today we received my COPR in the mail. It expires November 21, 2014. Now to just figure out when I'm going to land. Which will be a fun negotiation with my work, who is supposed to transfer me to the Toronto office.

I am so thrilled that this process has almost come to an end!!!!

:D :D :D :D

Congratulations!

You don't need to wait until the transfer to land. You can just go to the border and have them process the COPR between now and November 21st. Then you can figure out when to move.

Hi everyone!
The second day I check ECAS and stopped finding information under my husband`s (sponsor) UCI as i always checked, it never showed up under my UCI but now it does, shows the same - "application received on xxxxx" and "medical results have been received".

I wonder is that just an update in their system or it is because we just recently ordered (forgot how its called, check application processing, many pages doc) for $5.

It sounds like a database was offline so it couldn't find your information one time. It has nothing to do with an ATIP request.

We had a similar experience with the Ottawa office. They requested a Chest X-ray only (no blood tests) 90 days before the medical expired. They asked us to email the receipt from the doc's visit (not sure why, maybe to be on the look out for the arrival of the doctor's documentation, perhaps). X-ray was done and notified via email 2 days after the request and 2 weeks later the approval email came from them. Received COPR 3 weeks later.

Guys this is what I got in the mail, no mention of Interview just a ask for passport. Is it a good sign??
Dear *******,

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. The following is required to complete your application.

STEP 1: STATUS CHANGE (If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed to STEP 2)

STEP 2: PASSPORT(S) REQUEST

Yes. They ask for the passport (or copy usually) when they are ready to issue your paperwork.

Hey guys,

Just got my COPR in the mail today!!!!!!! I'll be landing end of November :)

For those of you are are worrying about having additional docs requested, the turnaround time might be very fast! CIC sent us PPR and requested IMM 5409 at the same time, and we got COPR in 2 1/2 weeks.

Hi guys!
Just an update. I just got an email from CIC asking for additional docs. It said

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa for further review.

Case Status:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· ******** - **** **** ** ****:
· RPRF, Family Class: Have your sponsor pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee in Canada
o This must be received at this office by: 2014/09/07

· Marriage Certificate / Licence: Marriage/certificate(s)
o This must be received at this office by: 2014/09/07
·

So after I pay for the fee and get them the marriage certificate, does that mean they'll begin processing things? Is this a positive thing? Or will they put it in a waiting pile until September? It's weird hearing from them after so long. I'm excited, nervous, anxious. Hahahaa Anyway, I'm not sure who to tell in order to update the spreadsheet.

@Boomlet: Was the COPR timeframe to land equal to the time remaining on your medical? I sent my passport yesterday and am waiting for the COPR

Kneekick, it's hard to tell. I had some additional documents requested June 6th with a due date of July 27th. We sent them within a week and still haven't heard anything. No idea if they are waiting for that date. But others have their files looked at much sooner. I hope in your case it's sooner.
