Suzy - I think it is good news, they've sent you the COPR and (by the sounds of it), any personal documents you included (ie. photos).

They won't deny you without asking for further proof or an interview.

My husband's COPR arrived yesterday and he is going to be landing tomorrow!!! Can someone please update the spreadsheet?

For those that have been asking, it took one week from "decision made" to receiving COPR.

Congrats Siren!! Glad your wait is finally over :)

That's great news. Congrats.

My husband has received a letter today and it was indeed his CoPR. :) 10 days after Decision Made. It has been 7 months from application received to the end of the process.

Congrats to all who have received the CoPR, and many, many warm wishes and love to all who are currently waiting. It will be your turn soon... :)

Thank you all for the help, the forums has been an invaluable source of good advice and support!!!

Suzy

(Now I need to plan all the import of goods... another adventure begins!)

Finally I got some updates today!

An interview is requested by CIC. It's scheduled in August in LA. Asked for a bunch of new forms/medical/FBI/Passport etc to bring along to the interview.

They asked for both of us for the interview. I guess it's pretty serious, hehe.

At least I have two months to prepare!

Finally an update, Dozel! I'm glad they let you know what's going on.. I'm sure it'll be fine - it might be nicer having your SO there with you for the interview :D

Oh, outland is much faster than inland process.

I asked for an update, because nothing has been happened for more than two months after I submitted my FBI clearance. Today I got an email saying below:

Hello,

Your application is now pending officer review.

Kind Regards,

So just have to wait???

Yep.

And I think it's good news since all they asked for was a FBI record. That pretty much means everything else was sufficient.

Congratulations dozel! I think all of us that sent in our applications that week got the shortest possible end of the stick. Good luck!

We got our gcms notes yesterday and it's as we suspected, the only problem is our class of sponsorship (conjugal). I am so mad at my immigration 'consultant' for counselling us to apply that way. Our solution at this point is to get married and convert the application to a marriage one. Hopefully the officer will see it and just continue processing (that's what the operations manual says they're supposed to do), but with our luck, it'll get flagged again.

Dozel - great that you finally have some progress on your case! My fingers are crossed that everything goes smoothly from here on out for you.

Michellestella - you are right about getting the shortest end of the stick LOL it is really bizarre that most of the end of May/early June 2013 applicants had to wait longer than others and are still waiting!!!!

My common law partner has been in Canada for almost 3 years on study and work permits, so I really just want this process to be over with so we can focus on other things AND NOT BE STRESSED!! I swear I had to start seeing a therapist because of this process - wayyyy too stressful.

Thank you Michelle for your kind words. I hope the same for you. I understand that a conjugal relationship may cause some trouble to CIC. You really have to have a strong argument that support the idea of not to get married.

I hope you can manage well on your case. Wish you the best.

I'm on the other hand very stressful right. Have to prepare everything again. FBI, medical, emails, messages, pictures, update forms.... very time consuming.

Thank you so much Cangrlusboy.

If you can find a decent therapist, please send me a referral.....

Wish you the best.

I think we have over 1000 email exchanges for the last 12 months. Should I print out let's say....half of them?
