Don't really rely on ECAS. Many people got their COPR and their online status still showed "Application received"Rorosgurl said:November 25th.
I keep login in to ecas like 4 times a day. Its like addiction I swear.
I'm also a US citizen with a Canadian spouse. I also submitted a copy of my passport (photo page) with my application in October 2013, and just received a passport request a little over a week ago. They wanted a copy of the bio-data (photo) page and gave an option to send it by email, fax, or snail mail.Rorosgurl said:Hello guys.
I am new to this forum. I have a quick question. I have sent a copy of my passport along with my application back in October. I am a US citizen and my husband is a Canadian citizen and we applied outland.
Would they still ask for a copy of my passport?
My office is ottawa and my application and medical has been received on October 17th of 2013.
Thanks in advance.
Oh boy, now I am worried that there might be something wrong with my application. Ekhh. You received the request by email or mail please?Saneth said:I'm also a US citizen with a Canadian spouse. I wouldn't be worried. Saneth got their Sponsorship Approval on November 6th and you got yours on November 25th, which means your application got to CPP-Ottawa a fair bit after hers. It's less based on when you applied and more on when you application got forwarded to Ottawa.Rorosgurl said:Oh boy, now I am worried that there might be something wrong with my application. Ekhh. I have emailed them checking the status and all they said application is received and currently in queue to be checked
I am 5 and half months pregnant and I don't know if I should notify them now or wait a little bit.
Me too! And it still says "Application Received" even though I've gotten my PPR.Rorosgurl said:November 25th.

The request came by email. I replied via email the same day and attached a scan of my passport and a copy of my husband's most recent pay stub (which they also requested). In fact, just to "be sure," I emailed the requested documents to them twice!Rorosgurl said:Oh boy, now I am worried that there might be something wrong with my application. Ekhh. I am looking at the letter I got that has my UCi and application number also a transfer note to Ottawa and its dated on the top December 2nd. You think they are going by the transfer date or date filled?Zarilenth said:I wouldn't be worried. I don't know the answer to this question, but someone told me to expect anywhere from 2 weeks to three months. Here is a link to the Ottawa spreadsheet, and you can see me as line 58, Saneth. Two of us who applied in October have received our PPRs. If you look up you can see that 5 people who applied in August/September whose COPR/Visa dates are entered on the spreadsheet got their COPR anywhere from 8 to 25 days after the PPR. However, if you look farther up on the spreadsheet, people who applied in Feb-June had much longer wait times. The data is really incomplete.Rorosgurl said:So the next question is. How long approximately is the wait between the passport request to the next step?
Thanks Buffy! Border officer confirmed the same thing.Buffy2323 said:As long as you have that form with you each time then you can bring it in one piece at a time. Just tell the border officer you are importing goods and you will have to go into the office and they will check it and then sign that you brought that item through. It is a bigger hassle for you to do it that way because you have to stop either time but you can have as long as you want to bring your goods through as long as you have the goods to follow list with you. Hope that helps!!
You are added.michellestella said:Would it be possible to add me to the spreadsheet? Our processing isn't finished yet, but hopefully it will be soon.
Sent in application: June 4, 2013
Visa Office: Ottawa
Medicals done: October 20, 2012
Application received: June 6, 2013
AOR: June 26, 2013
Sponsorship approved: July 8, 2013
Additional documentation requested: January 27, 2013 (they didn't think our relationship was real and wanted proof we will live together when he arrives, like hello, why else would we be doing this)
ECAS still says "application received"
That's all we have so far, and judging by the other June applicants, I'm not surprised :/
